The Drupal Content Management System and examples

Drupal is an open-source platform and content management system for building dynamic web sites offering a broad range of features and services including user administration, publishing workflow, discussion capabilities, news aggregation, metadata functionalities using controlled vocabularies and XML publishing for content sharing purposes. Equipped with a powerful blend of features and configurability, Drupal can support a diverse range of web projects ranging from personal weblogs to large community-driven sites.

Sites using Drupal:
CivicSpace Labs is a funded continuation of the DeanSpace project. We are veterans of the Dean campaign web-effort and are now building the tool-set of our dreams. We are busily completing work on CivicSpace, a grassroots organizing platform that empowers collective action inside communities and cohesively connects remote groups of supporters.

Site that uses Civic Space Labs:
Change For America was established to challenge the existing order in our nation. Certainly in 2004 it is about changing presidents, the Senate and the House of Representatives. But at the core of Change For America is the need to fundamentally change a political system that is broken, a system that has failed us. We live in an age when public offices go to the highest bidder, when the Bush administration routinely and brashly trades government contracts, appointments and access for political donations. Tell the voters that you’re going to be compassionate, and then turn over the keys to the rich guys who wrote the checks. Hand the economy to the special interests, turn the environment over to the oil companies. Wage war for the people who wrote the checks.
