Mediarica Podcasting Music Previews

Podcasting is like TIVO for the iPod or other portable MP3 (audio) or MPEG (video) player. While the iPod does not yet support video, Podcasting technology can handle video distribution as well as audio. Thus, video capable devices may be employed to view video sent via Podcasting.

The URL <www.Mediarica.com> distributed on Motor City Music collateral and links from the Motor City Music web site will contain info to help users get started with both Mediarica Podcasting.

Procedure:

1)     The <www.Mediarica.com> site will offer help to new users on how to set up Podcast reception using a “tuner” such as iPodder <www.ipodder.org> to select channels Mediarica will set up for the festival.

2)     User tunes into Podcasting channels to get pre-recorded “clips” before attending.

3)     At the event and while traveling between venues a user may browser by Artist Name for a given evening (using an iPod or other MP3 player) to listen to band previews.
