Feb. 19th meeting after State Dem Convention
Ron, I will not be able to make the after convention meeting 5:00 p.m. I'll be leaving Detroit right after lunch. But in the future I would like to help the party become more progressive. In the past decade it has moved to right of center to get corporate campaign contributions and the "common good" and "general welfare" have gone by the boards. Have a good meeting, Al Connor
Post-Convention fundraiser on Feb. 19
This is a great idea: support the Justice Caucus and DFA's emergence as a progressive force in the party, and enjoy a spring evening in Detroit. I hope a lot of people can turn up for this. It stays light til at least 6:30 these days, so whenever you leave the convention, you will likely be ready to hang out with some like-minded people and you will have daylight to make the short hop over to the gallery.
See you all there!

I'm now living in San Francisco, but I wish I had the chance to be there for this event - sounds like a fun time. Cheers to all of the Michigan 4 Dean and other progressives continuing to keep the Michigan Democratic Party moving forward. -jim whitaker
